Industrial Heavy water cooled housing for Optris pyrometers CSvision- CxL- and CxV-series, made of stainless steel, for ambient temperatures up to 250 °C

This water cooled housing is designed to protect Optris CSvision, CxL, and CxV pyrometers in ambient temperatures up to 250°C. Made of stainless steel, it circulates cooling water around the sensor head to maintain safe operating temperatures and ensure measurement stability. The housing supports a maximum water pressure of 8 bar with a recommended flow rate of 1 to 5 litres per minute, using G1/4″ internal and G3/8″ external thread connections. An optional air purge keeps the optics clean from dust and fumes. The quick-release design allows for easy sensor access during maintenance, and the housing fits your pyrometer without modifications. Pair with clean cooling water below 30°C for optimal performance.

FAQs

What maximum ambient temperature can the CSvision withstand with water cooling?

The standard CSvision pyrometer can operate in ambient temperatures up to 65°C (for R1M models) or 60°C (for R2M models) without cooling. For higher ambient temperatures, the ACCSVIWA water-cooled housing, which extends operation up to 250°C using the dedicated Air purge ACCTLAP.

What cooling water flow rate and connection specifications are required?

For the standard water-cooled housing (ACCSVIWA for CSvision), the recommended water flow rate is approximately 2 liters per minute. Hose connections are 6×8 mm with G 1/8 inch threads. Maximum cooling water pressure of 8 bar. Clean, oil-free water should be used to prevent deposits in the cooling channels.

Are additional accessories required to prevent condensation and contamination?

Yes. When using water cooling, condensation can form on the optics and electronics, potentially causing damage that is not covered by warranty. To prevent condensation, use the optional air purge collar (ACCTLAP) to keep the optics clear and above the dew point. An air purge also protects the lens from dust and dirt in industrial environments. Additionally, high-temperature cables rated up to 180°C (or 250°C) are recommended for the sensor.
