FAQs

What is the difference between the GB and the HT version of the USB to Ethernet server?

While the USB GB Version supports faster speeds of up to 1000 Mbit/s, the USB HT Version supports only 100 Mbit/s. Nevertheless, the USB HT version supports higher operating temperatures than the GB version of up to 60 °C.

Can I use other USB servers from W&T?

It’s important to note that other USB servers from W&T are not compatible with Optris USB infrared cameras and pyrometers. These servers have special hardware and firmware to support the communication protocols, and they are identified by a unique part number.

Who is the original supplier of this device?

Wiesemann & Theis GmbH from Germany

Can I run multiple USB IR cameras on the same USB server?

While it’s possible to run multiple USB IR cameras on the same USB server, there are limitations. The compatibility depends on the camera model and framerate, as well as the server’s bandwidth. For a detailed list of supported combinations, please refer to the Quick Start manual.
