Next-generation infrared pyrometers – modular design and future-ready

Berlin, January 2026 – Optris GmbH & Co. KG is pleased to announce that its new CTi pyrometer series has been nominated for the “Product of the Year 2026” reader voting by the industry magazine computer & automation in Category 6 “Messtechnik”. The nomination includes the models CTi 3M, CTi 4M, and CTi LT hot, positioning Optris among the leading innovations in industrial temperature measurement technology.
The CTi series is the successor generation of the highly successful CT series, introducing a modernized architecture designed to deliver enhanced flexibility, integration, and long-term usability in industrial environments. With its compact design, improved performance, and modular concept, the CTi platform supports machine builders, system integrators, and industrial users with a scalable solution for precise
non-contact temperature monitoring in automation-driven production processes.

Optris CTi Series Nominated for “Product of the Year 2026” Award

Designed for demanding production environments

The CTi LT series covers temperature measurement from –50 °C up to 1050 °C, using an 8–14 μm spectral range, an optical resolution of up to 22:1, and response times as fast as 40 ms depending on the model. The rugged sensing head is engineered for operation at ambient temperatures up to 180 °C without cooling, making it ideal for industrial applications such as process monitoring in packaging, plastics, electronics, and general manufacturing.

For harsher environments, the CTi LThot extends this concept even further, allowing operation at ambient temperatures up to 250 °C without additional cooling, supporting applications in dryers, ovens, heat treatment lines, and demanding processes in the metal, glass, plastic, textile, paper, and semiconductor industries.

The CTi family also includes dedicated short-wave solutions such as the CTi 3 M with a 2.3 μm spectral range for reliable metal temperature measurement from 30 °C up to 1850 °C, helping reduce errors caused by changing or unknown emissivity in metal processing and high-temperature applications.
