Optris Launches new CTi LT Pyrometer

Optris proudly announces the launch of the new CTi LT pyrometer, the advanced successor to the widely trusted CT LT series. Building upon the proven design and robust performance of its predecessor, the CTi LT platform introduces a host of innovative features aimed at enhancing flexibility, integration, and long-term usability in industrial applications.

At the heart of the CTi LT upgrade is a modular design with exchangeable sensing heads, allowing any LT electronics box to be paired with any LT sensing head—without sacrificing accuracy. This unique feature simplifies installation, maintenance, and replacement, offering a significant advantage for machine builders and system integrators who require adaptable, reliable temperature monitoring.

Innovative features and software enable easy integration

The new CompactPlusConnect software brings an enhanced user experience with an intuitive interface and expanded functionality, streamlining setup, configuration, and monitoring. For added convenience, a standard USB interface is now integrated into every CTi LT pyrometer, allowing for fast, easy configuration across industrial environments.

With the CTi LT, Optris is delivering a future-ready platform that supports upcoming noval innovative sensing head technologies, while preserving the form factor our customers have come to rely on. The new electronics architecture not only improves speed and performance, but also extends the lifecycle of the system by enabling upcoming sensing head developments.

CTi LT ideal for demanding industrial environments

Equipped with one of the smallest infrared sensing heads in the world, the CTi LT series offers an optical resolution of up to 22:1. These sensors can operate in ambient temperatures up to 180 °C without additional cooling, making them ideal for demanding industrial environments.

The CTi LT continues to leverage a thermopile detector and 8–14 µm spectral range, ideal for measuring high-emissivity materials in fixed installations. Multiple analog and digital outputs—including 4–20 mA, 0–10 V, USB, RS485, ModbusTCP, EthernetTCP, Profibus DP, ProfiNet, and Ethernet/IP—ensure seamless integration into existing control systems and enable real-time monitoring with high reliability.
